This video is designed to layout the reasoning for the creation and production of a branding video for “The Freshman Institute” of Benedict College. This video will serve not only as a marketing tool, but also a fund raising and support element for Benedict College's first-year experience. The Freshman Institute was created to enhance the educational support given to first-year freshman students. The curriculum and organizational structure were both decided upon by the “Office of Academic Affairs” along with the “College Accreditation Board,” all of the data used to create The Freshman Institute is based on “Best Practices in the first year experience and the Quality Enhancement plan set forth by academic affairs.
This video is intended present a clear outline of “The Freshman Institute” to potential parents, students, and any other persons who would be interested in this new development on the Benedict College campus. Within the video sequence the viewer is introduced to some of the internal workings of “The Freshman Institute” from organizational stand point, for instance the academic, effort support, and learning support departments. The viewer also gets a chance to note of how this support will relate and help enhance students education and ease the transition between high school and college. Lastly this video should serve as a tool promote excitement and confidence within the undergraduate students helping to ensure that the standards set forth by “The Freshman Institute” are upheld.
